 Consulting Experience
The core of my experience comes from a career of more than 20 years in multiple industries and organizations - as highlighted in the About Randy section and detailed in my Resume.  Perhaps as importantly, my Philosophies come from many lessons learned through specific experiences in my life and my career.

However, below are specific examples of diverse consulting engagements and opportunities, both prior to and since the time of formation of 113BV.



Dolphin Capital Management Inc.:  Left this investment management company to return to Phoenix for family reasons in 2006.  As the former COO of the company for over 7 years, worked as a part-time employee and independent contractor consultant after relocating.  Worked on specific operational projects for the firm, as well as managing the hiring process for, and serving as a mentor for, my replacement as COO.  Other projects included risk management analysis for banking services, Directors & Officers insurance analysis, consulting for Disaster Plan Recovery operations relative to threatening hurricanes, and a wide-range of turnover review issues for senior management. 


Professional Service Provider:  Assist a well-known, Ivy-League educated Owner of a professional services firm with a solid reputation in his field.  Executed strategic planning activities to help expand his business well beyond its current scope and size.  Specific projects included a SWOT analysis, re-branding ideation, and market research and analysis to expand into multiple new channels of primary business. 




Pest & Weed Control Equipment Provider & Retailer:  Assist and mentor the President/Owner of $1+ Million firm with strategic planning services.  Specific projects include Mission Statement development, SWOT analysis, market opportunity analysis, and marketing strategic planning to expand business both within Arizona and nationally.  The company's Owner is a former senior executive of a Fortune 100 company who purchased the business over 5 years ago.  Services are provided via membership to the Shea Group, an invitation-only organization of senior executives which provides consulting support to small businesses in the Phoenix area as part of its charter.


Software Development & IT Solutions Firm:  Maintain a business relationship with a New York City based, full service software design firm with experience turning clients' Visions into effective enterprise business strategies.  Broad services include strategic planning, funding, and implementation activities, and past projects have ranged from e-commerce to remote control technical solutions for entrepreneurial firms.  Former large-scale clients include Coca-Cola and the Securities & Exchange Commission.  In addition to full-lifecycle software development, the firm also consults on related process, architecture, and project management issues for clients.  113BV's Transaction Solution involves finding potential clients for this high-quality IT solutions firm.


Investment Banking Firm:  Maintain a business referral relationship with a Phoenix area IB firm which focuses on institutional financing, M&A, and divestiture activities for small to medium sized companies across a wide range of industries.  The company caters to firms with more than $10 Million in annual revenues, and focuses on institutional placements at the eight and nine-figure level.  113BV's Transaction Solution involves finding potential clients for this high-quality financial services firm.



Aerospace Consulting Firm:  Have a partnership relationship with a global consulting firm that focuses on the business aviation market, specializing in business development, interim management, and offshore representation services to meet the operational, financial, and strategic objectives of their clientelle.  113BV's Project Solution involves participation in business development activities with the Principals of the firm, as well as serving as a potential resource to help execute and deliver related solutions to those clients.


High School Football Board of Directors:  Member of the Board of Directors of a major high school football program in the Phoenix area, serving one of the largest student organizations at a well-known school.  Provide pro-bono support to the 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity.  Activities include overall strategic direction of the organization, as well as project management, coordination, and execution of major capital fund-raising activities.  Includes significant responsibilities for a program with total donations potential greater than $1 Million over multiple years.
Arizona Entrepreneurs:  Member of the Board of Directors for a Phoenix-wide networking and education group supporting those who own an emerging business, are looking to start one, or are interested in working for a startup enterprise.  Invited to join, and began working on the Board, in July 2008.
